Harwich Boat Train Locomotives 1963 - 1988
1980 was the first Summer the Harwich Boat Train ran on a Sunday. Unfortunatley the compiler of this page mis-placed a near full list of locomotives used many years ago. Please therefore contact Peter Hall if you have any observations of the train that will help recreate the list. The table below shows what has been established so far.
The coaching stock formation in 1980 was TSO, TSO, TSO, BSO, FK, TSO, TSO (7).
Stratford allocatted Class 47's predominated in 1980. The highlight of the year though was the the use of Immingham allocatted Class 37 37160 on September 7th.
