Prior to acquisition for the National Collection in 1978, GWR RCK 9605 (departmental TDW150330) was photographed in Swindon Works “A “Shop in October 1977. It is probable 9605 remained there until January 1981, sightings confirming this would be welcomed. Roger Viggers

BCK 6912 Transferred to Internal User stock as 079133. Preserved at Severn Valley Railway, arrived 5/12/74, body broken up, chassis used for the body of GWR SLF 8242, later 9038, at the West Somerset Railway.
RCK 9605 Transferred to Departmental stock as TDW150330. Acquired from BR for the National Collection in 1978 and initially believed stored at Swindon Works. The above picture confirms its presence there in October 1977 prior to acquisition. No confirmed sightings of it at Swindon between 1978 and 1981 have though been reported. Such sightings would be welcomed. Moved to Resco Railways, Woolwich 5/1/81 for restoration. Unfortunately, it was in a worse condition than had been thought and the restoration was terminated. Moved to Science Museum store at Wroughton, near Swindon c1986. De-accessioned from the National Collection and disposed of to Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway 1994. Body broken up c2012, chassis broken up during 2013.
