This picture of a grounded SR B body was taken at Chart Leacon Depot, Ashford in the mid 1990s. As can be seen below there is some confusion as to whether one or both of 255 and 262 saw use at this location at that time. Can anyone help resolve the mystery and confirm the identity of the one pictured.   Peter Hall collection

Which is correct?(Sighted at Ashford 24/9/94 but not clear whether Chart Leacon depot or Pre-assembly depot) The compiler of these notes records show he viewed one body of this description at Chart Leacon on 25/08/95 from a passing train and recorded it as this. Was he correct or did he actually see 255? Another sighting of a body of this description dated 10/11/96 has also been received.
